Department of Speech and Language

First, it’s essential to understand the difference between speech and language, as this distinction is crucial for identifying the type of problem and developing a suitable training plan. Speech focuses on the “how” to pronounce words, while language involves understanding and organizing words meaningfully. At the Speech Skills Center, we aim to provide comprehensive services to address all types of speech and language disorders, including speech and language delays, articulation difficulties, voice disorders, nasal resonance, and fluency disorders such as stuttering and rapid speech, among others.

We also offer training for a variety of conditions, including language disorders resulting from cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, and intellectual disability, as well as speech and language difficulties related to brain-related issues like aphasia. We utilize the latest methods and techniques to overcome speech and language disorders, designing customized training programs for each patient based on their individual needs, with the active participation of their family to ensure optimal outcomes.
